Freddie Mac/Habitat for Humanity |
Project: |
Freddie Mac teamed up with Habitat for Humanity to build 51 homes—one from each state and DC—on the National Mall to be delivered to Hurricane Rita and Katrina victims along the Gulf coast. |
Solution: |
Provide the logistical support to enable 51 homes to get framed by a legion of volunteers on the National Mall in one week. |
Results: |
- Shut down a block on the National Mall.
- Mobilized Congressional staff from 80 offices to participate.
- Organized 800 volunteers from Capitol Hill, Habitat and Freddie Mac.
- Arranged all food and beverages.
- Set up stations for registration, supplies, medical, food, and press.
- Ensured all 51 houses were built and shipped on time to families in need.

Foundation to Eradicate Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (FED) |
Project: |
Founded in 2002, FED’s mission is to fund the world’s most cutting-edge research into treatments and ultimately a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). DMD impacts one in every 3,000 boys born throughout the world, making it the most prevalent genetic disorder. With no cure, nearly 90% of DMD kids do not live to celebrate their 20th birthdays. |
Solution: |
Develop and implement a comprehensive organizational and resource development plan to support an on-going effort to discover treatments to help this generation of DMD boys.

- Raised more than $6 million to fund clinical trials, bringing hope to thousands of DMD families.
- Conceptualize and execute first-class charitable events in Washington, DC and across the nation, that include Members of Congress and key industry and business leaders.
- Developed partnerships with other muscular dystrophy organizations in the on-going effort not to duplicate research and services.
- Earned top ratings from independent charitable watchdog groups for sound fiscal and governance structure.
